Captain's Away Trip 2020

Don’t forget to sign up to this year’s Captain’s Away Trip. The sign-up sheet is on the Captain's notice board and is filling up fast.

February's Tip of The Month

The start of February seems to be a windy one, so it is a good idea to try to keep the ball down below the level of the trees for more control.

Here are a couple of pointers to practise:

Set-Up

Take 1 or 2 more clubs than normal
Grip further down the cub
Put the ball an inch or so further back in your stance
Set a little more weight on your front foot

Swing

Make a shorter, more controlled swing
Don’t break the wrists as much as a normal shot
Keep that weight on the front foot throughout
