February's Tip of The Month

The start of February seems to be a windy one, so it is a good idea to try to keep the ball down below the level of the trees for more control.

Here are a couple of pointers to practise:

Set-Up

• Take 1 or 2 more clubs than normal
  
• Grip further down the cub
  
• Put the ball an inch or so further back in your stance
  
• Set a little more weight on your front foot

Swing

• Make a shorter, more controlled swing
  
• Don’t break the wrists as much as a normal shot
  
• Keep that weight on the front foot throughout
