The Leeds Cup Once again, we hosted the PGA North Region for the Leeds Cup as it continues to be played at its home. Prior to the event itself, the Pro-Am proved popular with 30 teams playing. The Professional’s prize was shared by two former European Tour players, Phil Archer and Gareth Davies on four-under-par. The winning team hailed from Temple Newsam with a score of 18-under-par.
The main event was a great success with Gareth Davies winning with a score of three-under-par over the two days. Conditions were tough for round one, but the sun came out on day two and the course was presented beautifully. There were a lot of positive comments from both the players and the PGA officials on the quality of the course which should ensure the tournament’s return for future years.
