Ole’ Ole’ Ole’ Ole’ What a fantastic three days of golf from Le Golf National in Paris. Lots of worried European faces after Friday morning’s fourballs, having lost 3-1 to quite jubilant scenes at 4:30pm Sunday afternoon. Captain Bjorn got his pairings spot on for the fourballs and foursomes with Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson dovetailing once again. Captains picks, Sergio Garcia and Paul Casey justifying their pick with Sergio becoming the highest point earner now on 25.5 points, a record held by Sir Nick Faldo for years.
Ian ‘the postman’ Poulter delivering a point once again.
And, of course Moliwood. The sublime pairing of Open Champion, Francesco Molinari and European number one, Tommy Fleetwood. Winning four points out of a possible four together, it was very fitting that Francesco was the player to secure the point that won The Ryder Cup.
Lots of fun to watch and can’t wait for 2020 at Whistling Straits.
