It’s often said that you should practice probable scenarios on the range to help you to cope better when the same situation arises on the course, so here’s a fun game that you can either play by yourself or head-to-head against a friend if you want to practice responding to pressure: - Choose a strip on the range between two targets to be your pretend fairway
- Hit 10 tee shots and see how many you can get to finish ‘on the fairway'
The aim of this game is to replicate the process you go through on the course when trying to find fairways, while keeping count each time you do this drill will help you track your progress through the season. As you get better try making your target fairway narrower, while confident players can try to hit draws, fades and high and low shots to the fairway. Give this a go and let us know how you get on. |
