Keeping You Up To Date
Neil and his team are currently on with lots of cutting and strimming at the moment, areas like the back of the 17th green have grown very quickly, so they are being attended too. There are various areas that will be marked as GUR, these will be marked until the work is completed.
They will be carrying out more Verti-cutting on the greens to try and rid them of the bent grass, this is the long leaves that you see on the greens, it is difficult for the normal mower to cut them as they grow flat rather than up, Neil is looking into various ways of overcoming this.

Top Of The Week
How far do you hit the ball? It's a question that comes with some very mixed replies. If you look at the best players they, or at least their caddies know how far they carry the ball with each club and they have a number of different yardages with their wedge shots.
This gives them the ability to make a confident swing knowing that the ball should go the distance they want, even if they don't quite catch it, it's not going to be a million miles away.
One of the best ways to help lower your scores it to find out how far you hit each club. The Golf Cave is the perfect place to do this. Speak to Ady or Andy to book a gapping session.

Chipping and Bunker Play
Great work this week with the focus on chipping and bunker play. Andy is trying to make sure that the youngster know how important short game is. Andy gives them a simple technique from which they can build their own repertoire using their imagination.
Just a quick reminder that there is no junior session next week.
