Modernising Golf's Rules
Last week the R&A proposed some key changes to the Rules of Golf from 2019. Their Rules Modernisation initiative has been underway for a few years now and this is the next stage in that process. The aim is to not only make the Rules easier to understand, but also to address some of the game's current problems, such as speed of play, and ensure they fit the needs of today's game.
Please spare a couple of minutes to complete our survey, which gives you the chance to have your say on the proposed changes.
We've picked out some of the most significant Rules changes for you to digest in this survey, before giving you the chance to say whether you agree or disagree with each of them. It'll be great to know your thoughts.

Course Update
As many of you are aware the weather has not been too kind to us recently and although there are days of nice sunshine, the 'water table' is still very high. This means that even a small amount of rain can make a big impact.
Please continue to check the course report each day. If it is possible for you to carry then that is appreciated too.
Junior Lessons
The next batch of junior lessons have been finalised for the start of the season. We're looking forward to some better weather. Please contact Andy to book a space.

Tried and Tested
As mentioned last week, the NEW TaylorMade balls are now in stock. Andy took some time to test them against the Srixon Z-Star and the Titleist Pro V1x.
The results were very impressive. It was noticed that the Z-Star was the highest spinning ball which led to shorter distances with both driver and six iron, also due to the higher spin, this made the dispersion greater too.

The initial ball speed was faster from the TaylorMade and they launched a little higher however the spin rate was quite low. This means longer and straighter shots. Another big plus for the TaylorMade is the feel off the face is still soft and the sound isn't as 'clicky' as some others, more of a personal preference, but I do like this.
Needless to say, these are definitely going in the bag this year.

NEW In
This year we have decided to stock Galvin Green. They are the leader in waterproof clothing and a leading figure in the idea of layering clothing to keep warm and be able to swing freely. Having had the recent product training, both Ady and Andy were amazed at the technology and effort that goes into the products.
