New In !!! 

The new TaylorMade M series has arrived. After the success of the M series last year it has evolved. 

The sound of both the woods and irons had been improved. The addition of more carbon has allowed TaylorMade to increase forgiveness on 'off-centre' hits. Next week we will be testing so watch this space.


Thought of the Week - Back to Basics 

A lot of times we give lessons to a player who tells us that, "something just feels off". A lot of these feelings can be traced back to the setup, i.e. grip, alignment, posture, ball position. 

An old quote from legendary golf coach, Harvey Penick's Little Red Book, sums this up perfectly; "If you have one bad round, forget it. If you have two bad rounds in a row, review your fundamentals. If you have three bad rounds in a row, go and see your pro." Even the best players in the world constantly check their basics, maybe it can work for you too.

Please Pay Attention...

We have noticed that the end of January and start of February have been a little damp. This obviously leads to areas of the golf course that receive the most traffic getting quite muddy, please bare this in mind as you walk round. 

There are areas that are fenced off or roped off, please pay attention to them and walk round. This includes the area between the bunker and the green on the 18th, there is a sign to remind players not to wheel their trollies in this area.


 

Well Done

Lots of patience shown by our little stars this week as the weather was against us. Some indoor putting and a look at golfing etiquette was the order of the afternoon. Hopefully the rain will stay away this week so we can look to get out and about.
