Winter Lesson Package 

Now that the main competitive season has come to an end, now is a good time to look at preparing for next year. Andy has put together a winter package that includes 6 half hour lessons, (1 each month) and a second session that focuses on different aspects of your golf which are personal to you. 

Individually this would cost £450.00, however when bought as a package the cost is only £300.00. For the price of a new driver, you could make 2017 your best year yet. Click here to see the poster.


 

Greens News 

With the weather starting to turn and winter on its way, the temporary greens are being cut. If your ball comes to rest on one during normal play, it is compulsory to take relief. Full relief must be taken 1 club length from the nearest point, no nearer the hole without penalty. 

Please be aware that with much rain, the bunkers may have standing water in. You may take free relief as long as the ball is dropped in the bunker, or you may drop outside the bunker under penalty of one shot.

Thought of the Week 

Watching the golf over the weekend I watched an interview with Claude Harmon, he talked about Dustin Johnson's improvement this year. They put it down to the improvement from between 50 yards and 125 yards. On average, Dustin hits the ball to 16 feet from this distance. 

A lot of people focus on hitting driver further or straighter when it's the wedges and the putter that can lower your scores, getting up and down more often from these yardages could well be the key. For further help, please speak to Ady or Andy.
