Nobody is keen on slow play, if you feel that the pace of play is slow or a particular group is slow, please contact the professional whilst out on the course. We are quite happy to come out and look into any issues and deal with them at that time.
Neil and his team will be seeding and top dressing the greens on Monday and Tuesday as planned. There may be one or two temporary greens whilst this work is being carried out.
New The PING i Blade
PING have looked to move away from naming their clubs by numbers, G30, i25 etc and have just decided to use the letter. G-max, G, i and now the i Blade. This is here to supersede the S55 and is aimed at the more experienced player who wants to work their shots more.
Having tested it, the initial impressions are that it is a very classic looking club with a solid feel. The flight is lower that the G and i but higher than other bladed irons which translates into a few extra yards and little more stop on the greens.
Junior News
A new block of lessons start this week and will be varied between Saturdays and Sundays. Please contact Andy for more information and to book your child or grand child in.
Thought of the Week
How's your practise going?
A recent conversation with one of the members led me to think about how people practise, especially their putting. We see those that do practising a lot of putts from 9 - 15 feet and seem very disappointed to see the vast majority of putt miss. Did you know that the PGA Tour average from 12 feet is only 30% of putts holed? Yet from 5 feet is 77% holed. For the club golfer it might be better for you to work on holing lots of putts from 3 feet which will build confidence and improve your scores.
Speak to Ady or Andy about a putting lesson for more information.
