Hello golfers,

 

Please note that 'Preferred Lies' will NOT be applicable from Wednesday 1st June. We are experiencing damage from moles on the 14th hole at the minute. If a mole hill affects your swing, stance or shot you may take free relief, 1 club length from the nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole. 

As the better weather is drawing more golfers out, please stay on top of replacing your divots and repairing pitchmarks on the greens, this will ensure better putting surfaces for this and forthcoming seasons.

This week saw the last session in if the most recent block of lessons. Lots of fun with the younger ones working on driving and 'letting the big dog eat'. 

The second session saw the older juniors venture out onto the golf course for a few holes to start to put things together and give an idea of what needs work.

Thought of the Week

We have heard a lot of people talking about missing short putts recently. Just a quick tip to help. 

Make sure you take your time to line up correctly, most short putts miss due to poor alignment.  

Make a confident stroke, this will keep the ball on line and should remove any bad bounces from imperfections.

Keep the body still. Less moving parts, the less there is to go wrong. 

Keep your eyes down after the ball has gone, listen for it to go in. Looking up to watch it go in is a sure way to watch it miss. For more information, please speak to Ady or Andy.
