Hello golfers,
Work is continuing on the course as normal this week, things are moving forward as well as possible given that one of the team is on holiday and one has left for pastures new. Currently Neil and his team are interviewing for new greens staff.
There still seems to be a difficulty understanding the ideal procedure for using the competitions computer, here is the ideal scenario:
Come in and register in the shop, collect your card and pay your entry fee
Sign in on the computer Before going out to play
Play golf and shoot a low score
Check scores and sign your card
Enter scores into the computer, (don't forget to press accept)
Check that there are 2 signatures on the card
Post card in the competition box.
Please note that failure to sign in before you go out to play means that there is a 1 ½ hour wait to enter your scores or scores will be recorded as a No Return If there are any questions, please speak to the Professionals Shop.

Great session this week with the juniors. The younger ones enjoying using the Tri-Golf kit whilst the older ones concentrated on the importance of putting and all passed the putting challenge of their award scheme.
Thought of the Week
Is Par stopping you shooting good scores?
When conditions are tough or holes are playing a bit longer than they normally do, does the thought that every par 4 should be reached in 2 shots regardless of handicap or physical capabilities? Do we hit driver the reach for another wood just to get as close to the green as possible without thinking?
Ask yourself this question; would it be better to hit a full wedge shot into the green rather than a little fiddly half shot? Next time your out on the course, take a moment longer to stop and thing about what will give you the best chance to shoot your best score and not the best score a scratch player can shoot.
For more information, please speak to Ady or Andy.
Going on holiday? Taking your clubs?
The new Srixon Travel cover is in. Lots of padding for protection and wheels to make lugging them around a lot easier.
