Hello golfers,

 

Looks like the better weather is here to stay. The course has dried out nicely and is firming up. The greens have been scarified, top dressed and cut to their summer height this week. 

With one of our greens staff venturing to pastures new, Neil and his team are currently short on numbers, please do all you can to help things along. Please replace divots, use the grass mix on the par 3's and repair any pitch marks on the greens.

Also please be aware that a number of tee mats have been stolen this week. If you see anything suspicious please let a member of staff know.


 

Ladies Short Game Sessions 



Ladies short game sessions have started with a fantastic attendance this week. Looking forward to working with you for the next 3 sessions.

Rabbits Spring Cup

Division One 1st Place was Matthew Scholes with 40 points, in 2nd Place was Michael Scholes with 37 points and with 37 points in 3rd Place came David Stirk.

Division Two 1st Place was Angus Darby with 38 points, in 2nd Place was Alan Cross with 38 points and with 36 points in 3rd Place was Max Holliday.

Sunday Stableford

1st Place was Dave Robson with 42 points in 2nd Place with 41 points was Julian Johnson and finally in 3rd Place was Phil Radcliffe on 41 points.

Please ensure that you sign in on the computer before going out to play in any club competition and please ensure that you put your scores into the computer upon your return. Any cards not entered will be treated as a 'no return'. Please remember that your card should have 2 signatures at the bottom to avoid disqualification.


 

Junior lessons were not on this week, which means that they have had an extra week to practise what they have learned. We are back next week with 2 sessions left in this block. New dates will be published shortly. The 'junior course' is almost finalised and will be ready for the summer holidays.


 

Don't left the left wrist break down on chip shots. When chipping, keep the body moving and the wrists firm. This will encourage a better strike and make controlling the distance much easier.
