Hello golfers,
Firstly congratulations go to Assistant Andy who is officially now a fully qualified PGA Professional. After 3 years of hard work, he has passed all exams and had his application to membership accepted by the PGA. Well done Andy!
What a weekend of golf. Fantastic win by Danny Willett at the Masters and some great play by Lee Westwood and Paul Casey among others. Due to the smaller than expected field we had to double up on some of the players so the winners are:
Tied 1st - Lady Captain & John Roberts 2nd - Mike Kasher 3rd - Richard Townsend
Please collect your prizes from the Pro shop.
With the greens still being a little soft, there are still a number of pitch marks that get missed. Please take a moment to repair two pitchmaks when you walk onto the greens, this will ensure good surfaces for the summer.
Also please be aware of the damage that your spikes can do to the greens. Accidentally scuffing the grass will tear the surface. Please take a second to tape these down with the sole of the putter.

Are you playing golf or playing golf swing?
Although Jordan Spieth didn't win at Augusta, many players can learn from the way he saved par so many times. He didn't get bogged down with the technical mistakes of his golf swing and just focused on the next shot and how to get it close. He played to his strengths a lot which was trying to give himself a putt of which he made a lot of. For you, thing about your strengths and use them as much as you can.
For more information, please speak to Ady or Andy.
