Hello golfers,
Finally the sun has come out to play a little this week and we have been able to get back onto the proper greens, Hurrah! Obviously there are still areas of the course that are a little soft but things are definitely improving. They have been cut and rolled which has led to a much better surface to putt on.
Soon Neil and his team will be looking to spike the greens and get some sand in them too. Once the temperature increases then the grass will start to grow a little more and we will see a big difference.

Do you make good decisions?
One of the best ways of lowering your scores is by improving your thinking. When out on the course ask yourself, "what the best shot I can hit at this moment in time", It might be just chipping out the trees onto the fairway instead of trying the Seve shot. Hitting a hybrid off a tee of a par 4 and laying up to ensure the easy shot to the green instead of trying to get as far down the hole as possible.
Prior to this season, try changing the way you play your "bogey" hole. This might change your game altogether.

Cleveland Wedge Fitting
Many of you have taken advantage of the various features of the Golf Cave, from a social 9 holes to Gap Testing and a custom fitted set of irons. We have now 'upped our game' again and looked into wedges and wedge fitting.
During the course of an iron fitting we can establish the correct length and lie of a club for you and you can hit it there and then, previously this has not been possible with wedges.
Cleveland Golf however have brought out the first wedge only fitting cart and we are pleased to say that we are the owners of one.
Speak to Andy or Ady and book your wedge fitting today.
March MOT
For March only, bring your set in for re-gripping and receive 10% OFF the price, also we will clean them, check the shafts and provide you with a free loft and lie evaluation.
Tried and Tested
This week we have tested the PING G Driver.
This has been a fantastic driver to hit. It is very forgiving on off-centre hits, has a great sound off the face and gets some great height and distance. There are 3 different models available. The standard G, a great all-rounder. The LS-Tec which is designed to spin the ball less and the SF-Tec which is designed to create a little more backspin and less side spin resulting in straighter shots.
Speak to the pro shop to book for a fitting.
