Happy New Year!
Nice to see everyone enjoying themselves over the festive period and treating themselves to one or two new goodies.
Golf Cave
With the poor weather and occasions that the course is closed, the Golf Cave is the perfect place to get you golf fix and relax in the warm and dry. As a number of members have already found, it is a great place to socialise and have a bit of fun and banter playing one of the 14 courses on there.
Not only that but it also allows time for improvement with ball fitting, gap testing and club fitting. Now is a great time to start your preparation for the forthcoming season.

Members' Notice
Please check the daily course information with regards the course/holes being open. With the recent poor weather to save inconvenience, it would be advisable to call ahead.
Please note that there are various areas that are roped off, this is for protection of your course, please adhere to them and walk around the areas rather than through them. This work is essential so that the course is in the best shape possible.
Due to the very poor weather, ALL bunkers are considered GUR. If your ball comes to rest in one, you may take free relief in accordance with the rules. Please note that it is not compulsory to take relief so you may play the shot as it lies if you so wish.
Preferred lies are now in place on cut and prepared grass only. On fairways, fringes and greens the ball may be marked, lifted and cleaned, then replaced at a point no further than 6 inches from its original position, no nearer the hole. Plugged balls may be marked, lifted, cleaned and then placed as near to the original spot as possible through the green.
Junior Academy
The Junior academy is going strong with the juniors enjoying time in the Golf Cave, with the session on Saturday, 2 January being cancelled we have extended it to Saturday, 23 January.
Emphasis will be on playing, having fun, rules and etiquette.
Skills challenges and awards will now be incorporated into our junior coaching, giving everyone something to aim for.
There are still a few spaces available. Please contact Andrew Rigby for more information on 0113 265 9203 option 2.
